Poor Mountain - Hike without kiddos

 EZ took the boys to the YMCA and the playground, while a dear friend and I went for a longer hike in beautiful weather! We hiked Poor Mountain which is about 20 minutes from Roanoke. It was a 4 mile hike down into a canyon then back out. My calves were killing me the next day, but we had the best time chatting and hiking! I never realized how much I would enjoy hiking in the mountains. Now if only the boys were willing to go 4 miles on foot. hah! We still have yet to carry X, so we have no idea what that would be like. So thankful for my hiking partner on this trek, beautiful views and wonderful weather!
