Parks and Such!

I've vowed to devote most of our time here to the beach, but there are still so many other things to do! We've visited a few playgrounds, joined a mom's bible study, and went to an indoor rec center on the one rainy day so far. We also attended a homeschool meet up and found a perfect church. Prayers were majorly answered in that we found a church with great worship music, sermons we connected with, kids programming, and even a parent meet up at the playground following each service. We’ve been watching Hope online and we’re excited to find a place here that felt like home and had a community to get involved in.

Eagle Lake Park: this is our favorite so far! It has miles of trails, a huge playground and the boys favorite…climbing trees! We love when a playground is set back in a nature reserve. Doesn’t get much better.

Largo Central Park: We've been here twice. Once in the afternoon and it was insanely busy, then again in the morning and not so busy. Nice bathrooms right by the park! Win! The boys really enjoy this park and they love when parks have "workout" equipment they can explore.

Highland Rec Center: This was perfect for an indoor day! The boys had a blast and made a few friends while they played

Del Holmes Park: this park was huge! Plenty to keep us busy for hours. But can I tell you my park pet peeve? When the bathrooms are far from the playgrounds. This park had natural beauty as well with wetlands and a view of the water. The water was filled with birds, but I didn't see a single gator. I can't decide if I am relieved or upset that we have yet to see the Florida state pet. I have an irrational fear of one of the boys falling in the water, having to go after them, then having to climb through the reeds to get back to shore. Seriously freaky.
