Needles Highway and Visitors!!

 

We had our first round of visitors this weekend and the next 3 weeks are going to fly by with two more rounds of family visiting! We are excited and planning to finally see Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse. We took our visitors to all of our favorite kid friendly spaces: Dinosaur Park, Skyline Wilderness Trail, Storybook Island, Rushmore Lion’s Park/Rapid Creek, Canyon Lake Park, Needles Highway and Sylvan Lake. We had the best of time and it was so great to have sweet friends to socialize with; we sure do miss them now that they’re back in Des Moines! M’s favorite part was having our visitors over during rest time so he could play games with them instead of resting. Shocker. X’s fave was eating dinner on the balcony of the Dinosaur Park and enjoying the free popcorn that we snag with the visitor coupon. M also enjoyed playing tour guide and giving us all a heart attack with his climbing prowess. We saw an actual rock climber and I’m a little worried that might be in his actual future.
